Beacon Dragway is a 1/8 mile track located in Paducah, Kentucky that originally started as McCracken County Dragstrip in the 1960's and then transformed into a private airport. Beacon Dragway has now emerged by area developers Blane Grow and Keith Murt. Beacon Dragway officially opened on May 18th 2013 and offers safe and adrenaline filled racing for the racer as well as fun filled entertainment for families, friends and the everyday drag racing enthusiast. ‚Äč Beacon Dragway classes include Super Pro, Pro, Footbrake, Trophy, Motorcycle and Junior Dragsters. The drag strip features a 36 foot wide and 170 foot long concrete burnout and launch pad, and a state of the art timing system with scoreboards and illuminated towers. Other features include extensive parking with pit spot rentals, shop rentals, cafe, beer garden, VIP suites and nearby campgrounds.

145-acre municipal park features Junior Olympic-sized outdoor swimming pool, basketball and tennis courts, baseball/softball fields, skate park, picnic shelters, outdoor amphitheater, handicapped accessible nature trail, Greenway Trail, Megasaurus playland and Wacinton, an Indian carving by Peter Wolf Toth. Spring and summer Movies in the Park and Concerts in the Park provide seasonal family entertainment.

Popular with birders and hunters, Kentucky's lone National Wildlife Refuge, consisting of 8,500 acres in Marshall, Graves, and McCracken counties, is based at the northern outskirts of Benton and scattered up and down the bottomlands of its eponymous stream. The environmental education and recreation area off Ky. 408, east of uptown Benton includes a fishing pond, demonstrations of hardwood forest restoration and native warm season grass restoration, about three miles of seasonal hiking trails (closed in winter) and impoundments for waterfowl and wading bird management.

Walk or bike the 1.75 mile Greenway Trail from Noble Park to County Park Road. The Greenway Trail may also be accessed from Stuart Nelson Park.
